Für Kinder zwischen 8 und 11 Jahren

Our kids choir aims to develop the individual voice while creating a strong, beautiful, ensemble sound. Although we will explore a bit of movement with singing, emphasis for Glee Kids is on the voice, ear development and singing in harmony.

We aim to explore a variety of genres to show the diversity of musical styles featured in the following examples of songs we might study:

El cumbanchero
This Little Light of Mine
Hakon the Good
Zipadeedoodah
Swing on a Star

The Glee Kids rehearse every Monday from 16.30 - 18.30h during the normal academic term. The SHOWTIME year usually consist of 30 sessions the number of which can vary slightly in any given term depending on school breaks. There are no regular courses during Austrian school breaks.

Rehearsals begin Monday, September 8th 2014.
Students interested in joining the Glee Kids, as well as returning members, should prepare a short song which demonstrates their vocal strengths and joy for singing and performing. After a two week trial period, accepted candidates will be offered a contract outlining the expectation as a member of this ensemble.
